Our scissor elevator unit utilizes dual lift elevators adding 10' to the working height of selected models. This streamlined design uses only one set of outriggers, adding effeciency and maneuverability. Our innovative design raises the working heights of select aerial devices from 52' to 70'. The scissor elevator is available in two configurations:
1) A longitudinal elevator mounted so the length of the elevator is parallel to the truck frame. This configuration allows the elevator to be placed either immediately behind the cab with the elbow toward the rear, allowing for chip body mounting, or over the rear axle with the elbow over the cab, allowing for flatbed or utility body mounting.
2) A transverse elevator mounted perpendicular to the truck frame. This configuration allows the elevator to be placed within the confines of an 8' wide truck, placed immediately behind the cab with the elbow toward the rear allowing for chip body mounting.
Both configurations place the aerial device rotation directly over the truck frame at all times, maintaining a constant tipping moment regardless of elevator articulation.
